It was earlier reported that Musk's general amnesty could bring back about 62,000 suspended Twitter accounts.

The users thanked Musk for their support, even though some of the suspended accounts were restored. One of them commended Musk for firing the employees who suspended her account.

After Musk took over Twitter, it was said that hate speeck had risen significantly on the platform.

Adam Schiff, the U.S. Rep., shared data that showed that slurs against black and Jewish people, women, and gay men have gone up.

Musk refuted the statement, saying that hate speech impressions are actually down. Musk suspended rap star Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, from Twitter last week. Ye posted antisemitic comments and an image that appeared to show a swastika, a Nazi symbol, inside a Star of David, a symbol of Judaism.
