Bitcoin dips below $56,582 on Coinmarketcap

The world's largest cryptocurrency,Bitcoin, was trading marginally lower today. The price of Bitcoins fell by 0.58% to $56,582 on Coinmarketcap. The market cap of the criptocurrency was $1,069 billion.

The global market cap is currently $2.60 trillion, a loss of 0.01%. Other cryptocurrencies were trading on a mixed note.

Doge coin fell 0.29% to $4,521 and fell 1.15% to $0.2083. Stellar went up 6.69% to $0.3457 and Litecoin fell 1.51% to $201.46.

XRP declined 0.31% to $0.9704, butUniswap added 0.02% to $22. The price of cryptocurrencies has risen recently due to comments from billionaire Elon Musk and Ark Investment Management LLC's Cathie Wood.

In late July, Elon Musk said Tesla was most likely to acceptbitcoin as payment. The comment helped the race of criptocurrencies get past the $30,000 level.

In May, the electric carmaker said it would no longer accept cryptocurrencies for purchases. It's been a wild ride for the last three years for the digital currency.

The big Wall Street debut made the digital currency in December 2017 when the major futures exchanges introduced theBitcoin futures. The attention brought Bitcoins to around $19,300, an unheard of price for the currency.
