Denis Beirovi, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, received Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thomas Fitschen, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and other issues relating to the two countries.
At the meeting, it was assessed that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Germany are very good, and that institutional cooperation and the intensity of visits are at a high level. It was concluded that it is important to maintain the dynamics of meetings between officials of the two countries and to continue to develop cooperation.
BiH Presidency member Beirovi said that FR Germany has proven repeatedly that it stands by Bosnia and Herzegovina as a friend and that it can count on its support. He expressed his gratitude for the stronger focus of FR Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the support in the reform processes.
In particular, he pointed out the decision of the Bundestag on re-participation of German soldiers as part of the EUFOR Althea mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He thanked FR Germany, as one of the biggest donors, and for its involvement in demining in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Fitschen announced the continuation of FR Germany's support for the reform and integration processes of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the development of friendly relations as a whole, according to the BiH Presidency.
