FBI searching Joe Biden's Delaware home as part of investigation into his possession of classified documents

Federal agents are searching Joe Biden's home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware as part of the investigation into his possession of classified documents, his personal attorney says.

With the President s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware, Bob Bauer said in a statement. Under the DOJ's standard procedures in the interests of operational security and integrity, it tried to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate. Today's search is another step in a thorough and timely DOJ process that we will continue to support and facilitate. At the end of the day s search we will have more information. Biden allowed agents to search for his home in Wilmington, Delaware, one of two locations where secret materials had been found earlier in the month. He consented in November to the FBI searching a former office he used in Washington DC, where the documents were first discovered.

Between 25 and 30 classified documents dating to Biden's time as Senator and Vice President have been found by both the FBI and Biden aides at Wilmington and Washington DC properties. Biden's attorneys also found no documents at his home in Rehoboth Beach, where he often vacations or spends weekends. It is not known to have been previously searched by the FBI.
