Croats in Croatia, BiH are important foreign policy priorities

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia Davor Filipovi pointed out today in Mostar that Croats in Croatia and Croats in BiH are one of the most important foreign policy priorities of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

The closest cooperation between our two countries is quite logical. One of the three constituent nations of the Republic of Croatia is the position of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The election law in BiH was changed thanks to the wise and intelligent policy of the Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi, which strengthened the position of the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Filipovi He stated that the strengthening of economic cooperation and energy topics in Mostar are now perceived as a stabilizing factor and a key factor in BiH's European path, and that the Government of Croatia will provide maximum support on that path.

We discussed the topic of Southern Interconnection when it comes to the further gasification of Bosnia and Herzegovina because Croatia is becoming the energy hub of this part of Europe in this crisis. The construction of the LNG terminal on the Krk island turned out to be a strategic project that allowed us not to be afraid of whether there would be enough gas in Croatia, and we decided to double the capacities in order to be at the disposal of our neighbors, the countries in our environment. We think of the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we are thinking of building a route in Croatia to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. In close cooperation with ovi, we can make gasification on this side of the border so that gas coming through our LNG terminal from Krk can also supply Bosnia and Herzegovina. Filipovi emphasized that we will continue to support Mr. ovi and the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
