
On Thursday, CHEN ZHONGQIU Premier Li Keqiang called for reform and opening-up and implement a policy package to stabilize the economy so as to consolidate the momentum of economic growth and push for high-quality development.
Li made remarks as he looked at the Minis 1 try of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission in Beijing.
During the tour to the NDRC, Li said that the country's top economic regulators played an important role in stabilizing the economy because of COVID 19 and other greater than expected factors last year.

The NDRC has proactively made responses, taken the lead in establishing coordination mechanisms and helped advance the construction of major projects and equipment replacement, Li said.
He urged the NDRC to take concrete measures to bolster development and improve efforts to remove obstacles in the reform process.
Li was given details about the implementation of proactive fiscal policy at the Ministry of Finance.
He said the nation has implemented policies such as cutting taxes and fees, which helped alleviate the difficulties and pressures faced by market players last year, especially small and medium-sized enterprises and self-owned businesses.
Li said that the country's financial departments have helped governments at all levels tighten their belts by committing to negative growth in their budget spending and better securing people's livelihoods.
Li added that it is important to overcome difficulties and keep consolidating the momentum of economic growth in order to promote sound economic and social development, given the continuing trend of economic recovery and rebound amid risks and challenges.
