IAC experiencing system slowness at checkpoints, delays expected

SINGAPORE - Immigration and Checkpoints Authority ICA said on Friday that it is experiencing system slowness at selected passenger clearance checkpoints and delays are expected.

In a Facebook post at 11.28 am, ICA announced an intermittent slowness of its immigration clearance system across all checkpoints.

In an update at around 12.00 pm ICA said clearance is still ongoing but advised travellers to postpone all non-essential travel where applicable.

ICA regrets the inconvenience caused to travellers and seek their understanding and patience. In a separate post on Facebook, Changi Airport said an immigration system disruption has affected the auto-lanes for departing and arriving passengers across the terminals.

Passengers should approach our ground staff if assistance is needed. In response to CNA queries, Changi Airport Group said it is assisting passengers in the terminals and is giving priority to those with imminent departures.

Photos sent by the reader Kelwin Li to CNA showed long queues at Changi Airport Terminal 4.
