Taiwan's central bank has said that after the US held the island on a monitor list for manipulating the value of its currency, it is constantly communicating with the US Treasury Department.
The US Treasury said it found no major US trading partners had manipulated their currencies for an export advantage and endedEnhanced Analysis for Switzerland after the country met only one of three manipulation criteria.
Switzerland is on a monitor list for close attention to foreign exchange and economic policies, including China, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, Malaysia and Singapore, the department said in a statement.
Taiwan's central bank said that its communication channels with the US Treasury were smooth. In the future, it added, the two sides will continue to communicate on issues, such as overall economic and exchange rate policies, on the basis of good interactions.
