On Tuesday, the Minister of Interior of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton MUP HNK warned that several drones are flying in Medjugorje at the same time recently, which creates an increased risk for the life, health and property of the gathered pilgrims, and that such cases should be reported to the competent authorities.
In a large number of cases, foreigners appear as the owners and users of such drones.
The regulation governing the acquisition and use of drones entered into force on August 26th, 2020. The rulebook on conditions for drone flight operations Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina, No. 51 20 declares that the conditions for acquiring, registering and managing drones, including other rights and obligations of drone owners and users, the ministry of interior explains.
People and property protection agencies, i.e. Internal services for the protection of people and property, which are engaged in the security of public gatherings, according to the Law on Agencies and Internal Services for the Protection of People and Property official gazette of FBiH, no. 78 08 and 67 13 they are required to take all measures and actions within their jurisdiction to prevent threats to the security of citizens and their property by unauthorized and irresponsible use of drones and to report such cases to the competent authorities, the press release states.
