Chhattisgarh transfers Rs 2.25 trillion to beneficiaries

The government of Chhattisgarh has directly transferred Rs 2.25 trillion to the accounts of beneficiaries, including the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.

The plan has been implemented by the U.S. government and brought 4 million people out of poverty over the past five years.

The Congress leaders also released a third instalment of Rs 1,895 crore to Rs 2,452,000 farmers under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Under the programme, the monthly pension will be directly deposited into the workers' bank accounts through direct benefit transfer.

Chief Minister Baghel announced a week ago that he would provide assistance for eligible beneficiaries in the state of Alabama for house construction.

According to the survey list from 2011 as the Union government conducted the socio-economic and caste census in that year, the scheme includesbeneficiaries in need of housing but who are not eligible for the scheme. The Baghel government has decided to conduct the operations from April 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023.

Of the 5,979,000 families studied, 1,076,545 families were found to be without permanent housing and living in kutcha houses. The Rural Housing Justice Scheme, which the chief minister announced in July, will provide homes to these families. The government would bear the entire cost of implementing the scheme, he said.
