Thousands of NatWest customers take to social media after cash goes missing

Thousands of NatWest customers have taken to social media after being left short after cash disappeared from their accounts. Many said they would accrue fees after the incident resulted in their accounts being overdrawn. One customer, Ellie Regan, said that not being able to access her money had hugely disrupted her holiday and asked to know when the error would be rectified.

A NatWest spokeswoman said the issue had been resolved by the time the PA news agency released a statement on Friday. No customer will be left out of pocket as a result of this, said a company spokesman. NatWest said the incident stemmed from an 'ongoing incident with our cash deposit machines'.
