Workers in Republika Srpska Protest Against Unfulfilled Salary Agreements

A demonstration took place in Banja Luka today as workers in public administration, internal affairs, the judiciary, and the health sector gathered to protest against the failure to increase their salaries as previously agreed upon with the authorities of the entity Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The RS Administration Union, RS Internal Affairs Workers Union, RS Professional Union of Doctors of Medicine, RS Professional Union of Nurses and Technicians, Independent Health and Social Welfare Workers Union of the RS, and RS Judiciary Union jointly organized the protests, citing insufficient wage raises and other unresolved issues according to the Agreement on harmonizing and increasing wages. During their speech to the protestors, the presidents of these six trade unions emphasized their demand for a 160 BAsm increase in wages and their determination to persist in fighting for their rights.
