The world's largest hydropower developer and operator, China Three Gorges Corporation, has successfully connected its agrivoltaics project to the grid in Fujian province, China. In partnership with Fujian Sunner Group, the project combines photovoltaic technology and modern farming practices in Guangze County. During the first phase, the project has an average electricity generation capacity of 45.6 million kWh per year. The companies are determined to further collaborate on developing a sustainable and zero-carbon energy supply system for agriculture. The project's power stations, built on Sunner's poultry farms, not only provide clean energy for the farms but also have the capability to send excess electricity back to the grid. China Three Gorges Corporation has been actively working on various solar and wind power initiatives in recent times.
