Bharat Thakrar, former Scangroup CEO, intends to sue WPP for allegedly employing discriminatory tactics and neo-colonialist practices that resulted in his removal from the company. Thakrar alleges that WPP specifically targeted business executives of Indian descent, including himself and Scangroup’s finance chief, Satya Das, which is against Kenyan laws prohibiting segregation. He also claims that WPP leaked details of an internal investigation, leading to damage of his reputation. Thakrar is seeking damages of £24 million and is expected to file the case soon.
