The Saudi Space Agency (SSA) and LeoLabs, a leading provider of space surveillance services, have entered into a formal collaboration through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement establishes a cooperative relationship aimed at advancing space surveillance and fostering the growth of the Saudi space industry.The MoU outlines several key areas of cooperation between the two organizations. They will exchange expertise and knowledge in space surveillance, conduct joint research and development projects, and explore future opportunities for collaboration. This partnership aligns with SSA's strategic goal of bolstering the Kingdom's role in space surveillance and contributing to solutions for challenges in this field.Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, CEO of SSA, emphasized the significance of the MoU in reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to space industry development. The MoU also supports the Kingdom's efforts to combat challenges associated with peaceful space exploration, including the issue of space debris.The signing of the MoU took place during the Space Debris Conference held in Riyadh.
