PM Modi Inaugurates AIIMS Kalyani, Dedicates Multiple Development Projects

Union Minister of State for Education, Subhas Sarkar, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Kalyani, West Bengal. Sarkar emphasized Modi's commitment to fulfilling his promises, citing the expansion of AIIMS institutions from seven to 22 across the nation. He noted the rapid establishment of radiotherapy facilities within these institutions.

West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose also lauded Modi's inauguration of the Kalyani AIIMS branch, calling it a "landmark" event. Bose highlighted Modi's dedication to transforming the nation and expressed his support for the Prime Minister's vision.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated not only the Kalyani AIIMS but also five other AIIMS facilities in various states. He also dedicated and laid the foundation for numerous development projects worth over Rs 48,100 crore in Rajkot, Gujarat. These projects included over 200 healthcare infrastructure initiatives valued at over Rs 11,500 crore in 23 states and Union Territories.

Among the projects dedicated were the Medical College of JIPMER in Karaikal, Puducherry, and the 300-bed Satellite Centre of Post Graduate Institute of Medical and Educational Research (PGIMER) in Sangrur, Punjab. Additionally, 115 projects were inaugurated, dedicated, or had their foundations laid under the National Health Mission and Prime Minister-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).
