UAE Floating Hospital Brings Vital Medical Aid to Palestine

The UAE Floating Hospital, anchored in the Port of Al-Arish, officially commenced operations, providing vital medical assistance to the Palestinian people. The initiative aligns with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's directives to support the Gaza Strip under the 'Gallant Knight 3' humanitarian operation. Gazans suffering from various injuries and fractures were among the first patients received, marking the beginning of this critical healthcare initiative.

The Floating Hospital houses a medical and administrative staff of 100 professionals from specialties such as anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, and emergency medicine. With a capacity of 100 beds, it features operating rooms, intensive care, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and medical cabinets, reflecting the hospital's readiness to provide a comprehensive range of medical services.

The hospital's director, Falah Al Mahmoud, emphasized the facility's role in enhancing the UAE's medical support to the Gaza Strip. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, enabling it to offer diverse treatments and medical care adhering to international standards.

Upon arrival at Al-Arish port, the Floating Hospital swiftly began providing medical attention to injured and sick Palestinians. The hospital's comprehensive assessment process ensures appropriate treatment plans, including surgical interventions or treatment programs tailored to each patient's needs.

Palestinians receiving care at the hospital expressed their gratitude to the UAE for this humanitarian gesture, acknowledging its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in their time of need. The initiative builds on the success of the UAE's integrated field hospital in Gaza, which has performed over 764 major and minor surgeries and treated numerous medical cases.
