Congress Supporters' Pro-Pakistan Slogans Draw Condemnation

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi vehemently condemned the purported pro-Pakistan slogans chanted by supporters of Congress leader Syed Nasir Hussain after his victory in the Rajya Sabha election at the Vidhana Soudha. Joshi accused Congress of "directly supporting" Pakistan and slammed Hussain for attempting to dismiss the incident.

BJP Karnataka President Vijayendra Yediyurappa also denounced the slogans, calling them "highly blasphemous" and questioning the intentions of Congress supporters. The BJP filed an FIR at the Vidhana Soudha Police Station, alleging that Hussain's supporters raised the slogans after his election.

Meanwhile, Hussain denied any slogan-raising in his presence. He claimed that his supporters chanted other slogans, such as "Nasir Hussain Zindabad" and "Congress Party Zindabad." Hussain requested an investigation and vowed to take strict action against anyone found responsible for the incident.
