Updates on Galaxy AI and Circle to Search Features on Samsung and Google Devices

Samsung recently announced the expansion of its Galaxy AI features to additional Samsung devices through the OneUI 6.1 update. This update will bring features like Chat Assist, Live Translate, Generative Edit, and more to models such as the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, and Z Flip5, initially targeting the US market. Following this initial rollout, the company plans to extend the system update to devices like the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Wi-Fi version.

In a similar vein, Google unveiled its plans to enhance the AI capabilities of its Pixel smartphones by introducing the Gemini Nano AI model on the Pixel 8. This move is aimed at providing on-device AI capabilities, expanding beyond the Pixel 8 Pro model to include the base Pixel 8 smartphone. Google announced this development on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the Gemini Nano model will be available as a developer preview in an upcoming feature drop for the Pixel 8.

The expansion of Google's Circle to Search feature to more Pixel smartphones was another notable announcement. This feature, which was initially introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and made available on the Pixel 7 and 8 series, is now being extended to a wider range of devices. Supported Pixel models like the Pixel 6 series, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, as well as Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, and Z Flip5, will soon receive the Circle to Search feature. Additionally, Samsung confirmed that this feature will also be accessible on the Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets, while Google revealed plans to make it available on the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
