Siddaramaiah Accuses BJP of Bribery, Predicts Congress Victory

## Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Accuses BJP of Offering Money to MLAs

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to lure his party's MLAs with money since the formation of his government in Karnataka. He made these allegations on Twitter, expressing concerns about the BJP's tactics ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Siddaramaiah believes that the BJP is resorting to such measures due to their fear of defeat in the upcoming polls. He asserts that the BJP's "Operation Lotus" strategy, which involves enticing MLAs from other parties to defect, will not succeed this time. He is confident that the Congress will emerge victorious in the elections.

In a separate speech during the 'Janadhwani-2' election campaign in Madikeri, Kodagu, Siddaramaiah highlighted the threat posed to democracy in India. He urged the people to vote for the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections to safeguard the Constitution and defeat the BJP. He emphasized that the BJP's policies threaten the lives and futures of women, the poor, the middle class, and the hardworking people of the country.

Siddaramaiah views the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as a crucial opportunity to uphold democracy by defeating the BJP-led central government. Karnataka, with 28 Lok Sabha seats, will vote in two phases on April 26 and May 7. The Congress and JD-S alliance suffered a significant defeat in the 2019 elections, with the BJP securing a record 25 seats. The upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases, beginning on April 19, with the vote count scheduled for June 4.
