MG Motor India has recently joined hands with the Epsilon Group to collaborate on electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and battery recycling. This partnership involves an MoU signed between MG Motor India and Epsilon Group subsidiaries - Power EV and LICO. Specifically, Power EV will utilize Custom Charging technology to develop AC and DC charging solutions for MG's EVs, aiming to boost the charging infrastructure by deploying 1,000 charging points within residential areas in India over 1,000 days.
Furthermore, LICO, another subsidiary of the Epsilon Group, will play a significant role in supporting MG Motor India with its Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations by providing extensive battery recycling services. The collaboration between MG Motor India and the Epsilon Group is viewed as a strategic alliance that looks to advance a vision of efficient charging infrastructure that contributes to a circular economy through second-life and end-of-life solutions for batteries. Gaurav Gupta, the Chief Growth Officer at MG Motor India, emphasized the importance of this partnership in realizing their vision and goals in the EV sector.
