TMC Accuses BJP Candidate of CRPF Misuse, Armed Individuals, Demands Fair Coochbehar Elections

## All India Trinamool Congress Files Complaint Against BJP Candidate in Coochbehar

The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has filed a complaint with the Chief Election Commissioner against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Nisith Pramanik, who is also the Minister of State for Home Affairs. The complaint alleges that Pramanik is "illegally controlling and using" the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Coochbehar, West Bengal, where he is contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

The AITC claims that Pramanik is using his position as Minister of State to influence the deployment of CRPF personnel in Coochbehar and is using them to his advantage in the elections. The party also alleges that Pramanik has allowed unknown miscreants to camp at his personal residence and that these individuals are keeping firearms at his home. The AITC fears that these individuals will be used to terrorize voters and coerce them to vote for the BJP.

The AITC has asked the Election Commission to take action against Pramanik and to ensure that the elections in Coochbehar are conducted in a free and fair manner. The party has also asked the Election Commission to replace the CRPF forces in Coochbehar with forces from other states.

The Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal are being held in seven phases, with the Coochbehar constituency voting on April 19. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
