Supreme Court Expresses Dissatisfaction with Patanjali's Apology in Misleading Advertisement Case

During a recent hearing in the Patanjali misleading advertisement case, the Supreme Court conveyed its disappointment with Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna's apology. The court, led by Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah, was not convinced by the apologies tendered by Ramdev and Balkrishna, expressing its dissatisfaction towards their actions.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who had advised the defendants to offer unconditional apologies, confirmed that they had complied. However, despite this, the bench comprising Justices Kohli and Amanullah voiced their dissatisfaction with the apologies provided by Ramdev and Balkrishna. In response, Justice Kohli questioned the defendants about how their affidavits had made their way to the media before reaching the court, emphasizing the seriousness of the contempt proceedings they were facing.
