In recent bulk deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), transactions took place where two entities made significant acquisitions of shares in different companies. US-based asset manager BlackRock made notable moves by acquiring shares of Electrosteel Castings and PTC India Ltd for a combined value of Rs 207 crore through transactions on the open market. The acquisition involved BlackRock's affiliates iShares II Public Ltd Company - iShares Global Water UCITS ETF, iShares Global Clean Energy ETF, and iShares Global Clean Energy UCITS ETF, collectively purchasing shares of the two companies.

Adding to their transactions, iShares Global Water UCITS ETF, a part of BlackRock, bought 32.28 lakh shares of Electrosteel Castings at an average price of Rs 196.21 per share, totaling Rs 63.35 crore. Additionally, iShares Global Clean Energy ETF acquired 27.50 lakh shares of PTC India, while iShares Global Clean Energy UCITS ETF acquired 38.67 lakh shares of the same company at an average price of Rs 217.53 each, with a total transaction value of Rs 143.95 crore. The overall value of both BlackRock transactions stood at Rs 207.30 crore.

Meanwhile, in separate dealings on the BSE, entities engaged in acquiring and selling shares of GMR Power and Urban Infra. Winro Commercial India and Singularity Holdings bought shares totaling over Rs 45 crore, amounting to a 1.32% stake in the company, at an average price of Rs 57.30 per share. At the same price, Varanium Capital Advisors offloaded 79.43 lakh shares of GMR Power and Urban Infra, reaching a deal value of Rs 45.52 crore. Following these transactions, the scrip of GMR Power and Urban Infra witnessed a 4.98% increase to close at Rs 57.30 apiece on the BSE.
