144 Candidates File Nominations for Lok Sabha Seats in Madhya Pradesh

A poll official in Madhya Pradesh announced that 144 candidates, from various political parties including the BJP and Congress, have submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in nine constituencies of the state. Originally, polling for eight seats was scheduled for the third phase, but it has been expanded to nine seats due to the rescheduling of the election in Betul after the unfortunate passing of a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate.

High-profile seats such as Guna, Vidisha, and Rajgarh will be contested in the third phase of polling, with notable figures like Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan running for seats on BJP tickets. Additionally, the Congress has put forward former chief minister Digvijaya Singh as a candidate for the Rajgarh seat. The Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh, Anupam Rajan, confirmed the completion of the nomination filing process for the upcoming elections on the nine seats assigned to the third phase.
