Revanth Reddy Slams Modi for Insulting Telangana, Highlights Congress' Achievements

## Revanth Reddy Accuses Modi of Insulting Telangana, Highlights Congress' Achievements

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of insulting the state during its formation. He cited Modi's past remarks in Parliament, where he allegedly compared the creation of Telangana to the "killing" of Andhra Pradesh, the "mother state."

Reddy emphasized the Congress party's pivotal role in fulfilling the promise of Telangana's formation, despite facing significant losses in Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation. He questioned Modi's right to seek votes in Telangana after allegedly disrespecting the state.

Furthermore, Reddy criticized Modi for failing to deliver on promises made to Telangana under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, including the establishment of a steel plant and railway coach factory. He also expressed concern over the alleged erosion of democratic institutions under the Modi regime.

Reddy urged voters to support the INDIA bloc, comprising the Congress and Left parties, to safeguard the Constitution. He contrasted the Congress' respectful treatment of the Left with the alleged disregard shown by BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Reddy accused Rao of being ready to "mortgage" Telangana to Modi even if his party wins a single Lok Sabha seat. He highlighted the BRS' past support for the NDA government on various issues and Rao's lack of opposition to Modi.

Reddy concluded by highlighting the Congress government's achievements in Telangana, including free travel for women on state-run buses, subsidized LPG cylinders, and free electricity for the poor.
