Complaints Lodged Against Asaduddin Owaisi and Madhavi Latha in Hyderabad

On Monday, BJP candidate Madhavi Latha filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad. The complaint was in response to a video circulating on social media where Owaisi was reportedly heard encouraging a butcher in the Old City area, expressing support for beef consumption and the butcher's profession in Urdu.

Additionally, a resident of First Lancer in Hyderabad filed a complaint against BJP candidate Madhavi Latha for a controversial video. The video depicted Latha gesturing as if shooting an arrow in the direction of a mosque, sparking controversy in the region. As the Lok Sabha elections for the Hyderabad constituency approach on May 13, these complaints have added fuel to the political tension in the city.

The Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, which consists of seven assembly segments, is hotly contested, with AIMIM holding most of the assembly seats. Asaduddin Owaisi, who has served as the Lok Sabha member from Hyderabad since 2004, is facing backlash over the video and comments made during his campaign. The rivalry between the BJP and AIMIM in Hyderabad has escalated due to these incidents, making the upcoming elections a crucial battleground for both parties.
