## Bajaj Auto Announces Key Leadership Changes

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced significant leadership changes to drive its electric vehicle (EV) and technological innovation efforts. Abraham Joseph, a veteran with over 35 years of experience at Bajaj Auto, has been appointed as Managing Director of Chetak Technology Ltd., the company's EV arm.

Under Joseph's leadership, Chetak Technology Ltd. will transform into a high-tech organization focused on developing cutting-edge automotive technologies. This includes exploring the potential of hydrogen vehicles, expanding Bajaj Auto's ability to deliver technologically advanced products.

Joseph has played a pivotal role in the development of iconic Bajaj Auto brands like Pulsar and numerous standout products across various segments. He also led the development of diverse three-wheeler products and India's first quadricycle, Qute.

In the past six years, Joseph has been instrumental in establishing and expanding the EV R&D organization, Chetak Technology R&D.

Ramtilak Ananthan, with over 30 years of experience at Bajaj Auto, will succeed Joseph as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Bajaj Auto Ltd. Ananthan's expertise lies in product development and testing. He spearheaded the successful transition of all Bajaj Auto products to BS4 norms and later played a key role in the transition to BS6 and OBD2A norms.

These leadership changes demonstrate Bajaj Auto's commitment to accelerating technological innovation and strengthening its position in the evolving mobility landscape. With Joseph's expertise in EVs and Ananthan's experience in product development, Bajaj Auto is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the automotive industry.
