Shah Accuses Congress, Left of Seeking Banned PFI Support in Kerala, Hails Modi's Security Efforts

Amit Shah Attacks Congress and Left in Kerala, Alleges Support for Banned PFI

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the ruling Left in Kerala on Wednesday, accusing both parties of seeking support from the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) to win the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the state.

Shah alleged that the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of the PFI, openly declared its support for the Congress-led UDF in Kerala, while the LDF remained silent on the ban imposed on the PFI. He contrasted this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to protect the country from such organizations.

Addressing a poll rally in Alappuzha Lok Sabha constituency, Shah urged voters to support BJP candidate Sobha Surendran. He claimed that during the rule of both the Communists and the Congress, terrorists were shielded in the state.

Shah further accused the Congress and the Left of feigning animosity towards each other in Kerala and West Bengal, while collaborating in other parts of the country. He asserted that communism was on its last legs globally and in India, and that the Congress was also witnessing a decline.

"This is the time of the BJP," Shah declared. He emphasized that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were crucial for making Modi the Prime Minister for a third term and liberating Kerala from violence. He expressed confidence that the entire state stood with Modi, citing various surveys.

Shah's visit to Kerala marked the final day of public campaigning before the state goes to polls on April 26. He arrived by helicopter at the Alappuzha Recreation Ground and then traveled by road to the Punnapra Carmel Ground, where the public meeting was held.
