Prime Minister Narendra Modi Accuses Congress of Vote Bank Politics and Inheritance Tax Plans

In a recent rally in Ambikapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a strong stand against the Congress party, accusing them of being driven by vote bank politics and promoting divisive policies. Modi highlighted the Congress' alleged agenda to introduce reservation based on religion, contrary to the principles laid down during the drafting of the Constitution under Babasaheb Ambedkar's leadership, which explicitly stated no reservation should be based on religion in India.

The Prime Minister emphasized the Congress party's intentions to change the Constitution to benefit its vote bank, particularly at the expense of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. Modi suggested that the Congress aimed to implement 15% reservation based on religion by reducing the existing quotas of marginalized communities. Furthermore, he criticized the Congress for allegedly planning to introduce an inheritance tax, claiming that it would target hardworking middle-class citizens and threaten the assets inherited by individuals from their parents.

Modi accused the Congress of having dangerous motives, including plans to redistribute wealth and assets acquired through hard work, to the detriment of citizens and their children's future. He warned the public about the Congress’ alleged agenda of "loot" both during their lifetimes and posthumously, claiming that the party intended to seize assets and rights from the people and their descendants. The Prime Minister portrayed the BJP as the safeguard of reservation policies and the protector of citizens' rights and assets, contrasting it with the Congress' purported agenda.
