Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Urges People to Support Congress Candidate and Criticizes PM Modi

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah recently spoke at the Prajadhwani-2 public convention organized by Bagalkote Lok Sabha constituency candidate Samyukta Patil, calling upon the people to ensure the victory of the Congress party's candidate over BJP's Gaddigowdar in the upcoming elections. Siddaramaiah criticized MP Gaddigowdar for his lack of advocacy for the state in Parliament during natural disasters like floods and droughts, as well as for the development of the Bagalkote district, urging voters to reject Gaddigowdar's silence and support Samyukta Patil as a voice for their interests.

Furthermore, Siddaramaiah took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of deceiving the people of Karnataka by not providing timely relief for the state's drought crisis until the intervention of the Supreme Court. The Chief Minister highlighted Modi's unfulfilled promises to double farmers' income and criticized the lack of sympathy shown for protesting farmers who lost their lives, emphasizing that if the Congress were to come into power at the center, farmers' loans across the country would be waived. Additionally, Siddaramaiah expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for securing over Rs 34 lakh in drought relief assistance from the Union Government for Karnataka and stated that it was unprecedented for a state to have to seek legal intervention to enforce its rights.
