MDH Rejects Allegations of Pesticides in Spice Products

MDH, a prominent Indian spice brand, responded to allegations by Hong Kong's Center for Food Safety regarding the presence of ethylene oxide in certain pre-packaged spice-mix products. The company firmly rejected these claims and stated that it had not received any formal communication from Hong Kong or Singapore regarding this issue.

Furthermore, MDH highlighted that both the Spice Board of India and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had not been notified by Hong Kong or Singapore authorities about any such concerns. The company emphasized that the accusations were baseless and lacked substantial evidence to support them, reinforcing its commitment to producing safe and high-quality spices for consumers. Additionally, MDH clarified that it does not use ethylene oxide at any stage of its spice processing, storage, or packaging.
