BJP Leaders Condemn Attack on Saraswati Sarkar

Union Minister Smriti Irani and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha have condemned the alleged attack on Saraswati Sarkar, the President of BJP's Kasba Mandal in West Bengal.

In a tweet, Irani expressed her concern over the incident, stating that she shuddered to think of the situation in Sandeshkhali if such brutality could occur in South Kolkata. She also shared that she had spoken to Sarkar, who was physically beaten and battered by TMC goons.

Saha, on the other hand, took to social media to highlight the incident and criticize the state of women's security in West Bengal. He claimed that Sarkar was targeted by TMC goons and questioned the safety of women in the state if even Kolkata wasn't safe under Mamata Banerjee's leadership.

BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya also joined the chorus of condemnation, tweeting that the movement seeking justice for Sarkar and other BJP karyakartas was gaining momentum. He accused the Kolkata police of dragging its feet on taking action against the attackers and emphasized the need to uphold the law.

Malviya further alleged that no woman was safe in West Bengal and that the incident was a reflection of Banerjee's failure as Home Minister. He concluded by stating that the people of Bengal would respond to these atrocities.
