Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI-F Vows to Launch Freedom Movement in Pakistan

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of JUI-F, declared during a virtual meeting at the Mufti Mehmood Centre in Peshawar that his party is set to lead a movement to save Pakistan from the current political system and to bring back what he calls true democracy. He criticized the recent elections, alleging them as rigged and stating that such manipulations have severely damaged Pakistan politically, economically, and democratically over the past 76 years.

Rehman emphasized the historical role of his party in fighting against election rigging, drawing parallels between the present situation and the movement led by his father, Mufti Mehmood, against rigging in 1977. He questioned the silence of those who previously opposed rigging in elections but remained quiet in the face of recent manipulations, particularly mentioning the PML-N party. The JUI-F chief warned against accepting what he termed "slavery" and vowed to speak out against any injustices that have kept his party from having a voice in parliament.
