Patanjali Products Face License Suspension Over Misleading Advertisements

Uttarakhand suspends licenses of 14 Patanjali products

The Uttarakhand licensing authority has suspended the licenses of 14 products manufactured by Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy with immediate effect. This action was taken in response to a misleading advertisement case filed against the company.

The case relates to an apology published by Baba Ramdev and his associate Acharya Balkrishna in the Supreme Court on April 16th. The apology was in response to accusations that Patanjali's advertisements for their products were misleading and made false claims about the effectiveness of allopathic medicines.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the case on April 30th. The court has asked Patanjali's lawyers to provide copies of the apology advertisements for review.

This development comes amidst growing concerns about the quality and safety of Patanjali's products. The company has been accused of making exaggerated claims about the benefits of its products and of using misleading advertising tactics.

The suspension of the licenses for these 14 products is a significant setback for Patanjali. It remains to be seen how the company will respond to this challenge and whether it will be able to regain the trust of consumers.
