Kullu Police Rescue Tourists Stranded Due to Snowfall

Heavy snowfall near the Atal Tunnel in Dhundhi, Kullu district, left over 3500 tourists stranded on Monday. The Kullu District Police launched a rescue operation, successfully evacuating 600 vehicles and 3500 tourists from the area. The remaining vehicles and people are currently being rescued.

Schools Closed in Reasi Due to Bad Weather

In view of the adverse weather conditions, all educational institutions in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir have been ordered closed for Tuesday, April 30th, by District Magistrate Vishesh Mahajan.

Fresh Snowfall in Kupwara and Bandipora

The Machil sector of the Kupwara district and the Bandipora district of North Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Monday. The snowfall transformed the region into a winter wonderland, covering trees, wires, vehicles, roads, and streets in a blanket of snow.

BRO Rescues Vehicles Stranded in Snow

On Sunday, a team from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) rescued 35 vehicles that were stuck in the snow at Razdan Top on the Bandipora-Gurez road in Jammu and Kashmir. The vehicles were stranded due to unfavorable weather conditions, including snowfall and snowstorms.
