Before its official launch, SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024, a prominent tech trade show, provided a glimpse of groundbreaking innovations at a preliminary event on April 9. The media showcase featured a diverse range of futuristic products and concepts, including a compact tricycle, a versatile water-sky drone, and environmentally friendly hamburgers, all part of the event's Showcase Program designed to portray the imagined urban life in 2050.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike emphasized the essence of experiencing a blend of sustainability and advanced technology in the city during the showcase, paving the way for what's to come at the main event spanning from April 27 to May 26 at various venues across Tokyo. The event, titled SusHi Tech Tokyo, derived from Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo, is an initiative led by the Tokyo metropolitan government, aiming to showcase Tokyo as a hub of innovation and sustainability.

Creative director Asako Tsuji, the visionary behind the Showcase Program, expressed her desire for the audience to envision a future alongside Tokyo, highlighting the city's diversity and inspiring the attendees with possibilities at the four designated venues, including the Ariake Arena and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
