Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Confident of Congress Victory in Upcoming Elections

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed confidence in the Congress party's ability to secure a majority in the upcoming state elections. He highlighted the public's recognition of the BJP government's failures at the center and the Congress government's achievements in the state.

Siddaramaiah's remarks came during a media interaction following the Prajadhwani-2 program in Gokak. He emphasized the overwhelming support for the Congress, projecting a win of at least 20 seats. He contrasted this with the BJP's unfulfilled promises made in 2014 and 2019.

Responding to Prime Minister Modi's criticism of the Congress government, Siddaramaiah refuted the claims as blatant lies. He pointed to the Congress party's long history of empowering women and questioned Modi's motives for making such statements. He further highlighted Modi's failure to deliver on promises related to black money, farmer income, job creation, and inflation control.

Regarding the sexual harassment case involving JDS's Prajwal Revanna, Siddaramaiah stated that the state government has formed an SIT to investigate the matter and will take action based on the findings.

Siddaramaiah also addressed criticism regarding his alleged lack of acknowledgment for BJP leaders' support during his son's death. He clarified that the death occurred abroad and the body was brought back to the country without seeking assistance from PM Modi or others.
