A Glimpse into the Future of Technology and Sustainability

SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024

Imagine a world where flying cars soar through the skies and robots assist us in our daily lives. This futuristic vision is brought to life at the Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo exhibition, also known as SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024. Held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo, this exhibition showcases cutting-edge technologies that could shape our world in 2050.

Visitors can immerse themselves in interactive experiences, including operating child-friendly walking robots and taking a simulated flight in a "flying car" enhanced by virtual reality. The exhibition extends beyond Miraikan, with displays at three other venues in the bayside area, including the Ariake Arena, opening in May.

SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 is not just about showcasing technology; it aims to find solutions to pressing issues like traffic congestion and global warming. The Tokyo metropolitan government, a sponsor of the event, hopes to foster collaboration and investment in companies working on solutions for social infrastructure and environmental protection.

Startups from Japan and abroad are encouraged to participate, presenting their innovative ideas and connecting with potential clients. The exhibition aims to attract 500,000 visitors and inspire a future where technology serves to improve our lives and address global challenges.

For Sora Kido, a high school student who visited the exhibition, the prospect of flying cars is particularly exciting. "It would help me reach my destination faster because there would be no congestion," she remarked. With its diverse exhibits and focus on collaboration, SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 offers a glimpse into a future where technology and innovation pave the way for a more sustainable and connected world.
