A Glimpse into the Future

On April 9th, a preview event for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 offered a tantalizing glimpse into the future of urban life. Held in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward, the event showcased a range of futuristic innovations, from sustainable food and mobility solutions to cutting-edge entertainment experiences.

The media preview highlighted several exciting projects from the show's Showcase Program, which envisions "urban life in 2050." These included a compact tricycle, a versatile drone capable of navigating both water and air, and even beef-free hamburgers.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike enthusiastically promoted the event, encouraging attendees to "Experience a sustainable and high-tech Tokyo." SusHi Tech Tokyo, which stands for Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo, will be held across multiple venues in the capital from April 27th to May 26th.

Creative director Asako Tsuji, who curated the Showcase Program, expressed her desire to inspire the event's audience to envision the future. Tsuji's program will be held in four venues, including Ariake Arena and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
