Mizoram Chief Minister Announces 52% Growth in GST Collection

Mizoram's Chief Minister, Lalduhoma, proudly shared the impressive statistics indicating a 52% rise in GST collection for the state in April. According to data released by the Union Finance Ministry, Mizoram managed to collect a total of Rs 108 crore in GST during that month, significantly surpassing the Rs 71 crore collected during the same period the year before. Lalduhoma credited this remarkable growth to the tireless dedication of the state's finance, planning, and taxation departments, emphasizing their role in enhancing revenue generation.

The Chief Minister highlighted the crucial role played by both citizens and business communities in contributing to the increased GST collection, acknowledging their growing understanding of the significance of tax compliance in bolstering the state's revenue.
