RJD Leader Demands Inquiry into Allegations Against West Bengal Governor
Misa Bharti, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and daughter of party president Lalu Prasad, has demanded a thorough investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose.
Bharti, a Rajya Sabha MP contesting the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat, expressed concern over the accusations and called for appropriate action based on the findings of the inquiry.
The allegations have sparked controversy in West Bengal, with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee questioning the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the matter. A contractual employee of Raj Bhavan has filed a police complaint against Bose, who has denied the accusations.
Bharti also criticized the BJP's accusations of "parivarvad" (dynastic politics) against opposition parties, highlighting the presence of individuals from influential political families within the BJP itself.
