A Glimpse into the Future
The SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 trade show offered a sneak peek into the future of urban life with its preview event on April 9th. The event showcased futuristic innovations in mobility, sustainable food, and entertainment, providing a glimpse into what urban life might look like in 2050.
The media preview highlighted several exciting innovations, including a compact tricycle, a versatile drone that can operate both on water and in the sky, and beef-free hamburgers. These innovations represent the show's "Showcase Program," which aims to envision the future of urban life.
Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike encouraged people to experience the sustainable and high-tech Tokyo showcased at the event. SusHi Tech Tokyo, which stands for Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo, will be held across multiple venues in the capital from April 27th to May 26th.
Creative director Asako Tsuji, who curated the Showcase Program, expressed her desire to inspire the event's audience to envision the future. Tsuji's program will be held in four venues, including Ariake Arena and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
