Indian Hospitals Bolstering Cancer Care Services Amid Rising Cases

In response to the escalating cancer cases in India, hospitals are ramping up their efforts to provide enhanced cancer care services. For instance, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center (RGCIRC) in Delhi is planning to enlarge its facility and add more beds over the next few years. This includes collaborating with other institutes to raise awareness about cancer prevention and early detection, as well as extending medical education sessions to Tier-II cities.

Furthermore, Fortis Healthcare in Bengaluru has observed a notable increase in cancer cases and is focusing on expanding its services to Tier-II cities to improve access to specialized care. The Fortis Cancer Institute offers state-of-the-art technology like Gamma Knife ESPRIT and MR LINAC to provide precise and minimally invasive tumor therapies. The institute is also dedicated to treating haematologic conditions, such as blood cancers, and offers advanced treatments like CAR-T cell therapy.

Aster DM Healthcare is also making significant strides in expanding its cancer care services, with plans to add 1,700 beds by 2026-27. The company aims to invest Rs 1,000 crore in brownfield and greenfield projects to achieve this goal. Additionally, Yatharth Hospitals in Noida is leveraging cutting-edge treatments and diagnostic services to advance cancer care. The hospital group is expanding its bed capacity in Greater Noida and Noida Extension and considering further growth through greenfield projects.
