SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024
On April 9th, a preview event for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 offered a tantalizing glimpse into the future of urban life. This tech trade show, organized by the Tokyo metropolitan government, showcased a variety of innovations that promise to shape our cities in 2050 and beyond.
The event highlighted futuristic mobility solutions like a compact tricycle and a water-sky versatile drone. Sustainable food options, such as beef-free hamburgers, were also on display. These innovations embody the show's theme of "urban life in 2050," offering a glimpse into a future where technology and sustainability go hand in hand.
Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike enthusiastically promoted the event, encouraging visitors to "Experience a sustainable and high-tech Tokyo." The main event will take place across multiple venues in the capital from April 27th to May 26th.
Creative director Asako Tsuji, who curated the Showcase Program, emphasized the importance of inspiring audiences to envision the future. "Tokyo is a diverse metropolis," she said. "I want to inspire the event's audiences to envision the future with us."
Tsuji's program will be held in four venues, including Ariake Arena and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Visitors can expect to be immersed in a world of cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
