In his directives to officials, CM Naidu expressed a strong desire for radical changes in the academic sector to ensure positive outcomes. He underlined the significant annual expenditure of Rs 32,000 crore on education by the state government, emphasizing the need for visible improvements at the grassroots level. The Chief Minister also called for the involvement of educational experts, intellectuals, and academic personalities in revising the syllabus to meet evolving educational requirements.
The Chief Minister's attention to detail extended to ensuring full enrolment in schools and emphasized the importance of monitoring students up to the graduation level. He advocated for the issuance of proper identity cards to students through the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) system. Additionally, CM Naidu instructed officials to thoroughly study and report on GO number 117 after consulting with academic experts and teachers. The Education Department officers provided a comprehensive overview of the sector's reforms and new policies, including the implementation of a 'one teacher for one class' system and reducing the app usage burden on teachers. Furthermore, they presented the current landscape of education in Andhra Pradesh, indicating the presence of a significant number of schools with limited student populations. The Chief Minister also conducted a review meeting on Skill Development, highlighting the state government's commitment to this area and emphasizing the importance of conducting a skill development census following consultations with industrialists.
