The museum's building holds a special significance, having been meticulously renovated from the company's Uji Ogura plant. This site once served as the birthplace of Nintendo's hanafuda playing cards and a repair center for game consoles. Paying homage to its roots, the museum offers visitors a chance to try their hand at crafting traditional hanafuda cards, connecting them to Nintendo's humble beginnings.
Beyond the exhibits, the museum boasts a charming cafe where you can indulge in delicious food and beverages, and a gift shop brimming with character merchandise.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, admission requires a reservation for a specific date and time. In case of high demand, entry will be determined through a lottery system. Tickets for October and November are currently available through a lottery.
The entrance fee is 3,300 yen for adults, 2,200 yen for junior and senior high school students, and 1,100 yen for elementary school students. Children under school age enjoy free entry. The museum remains closed on Tuesdays.
Plan your visit to the Nintendo Museum and embark on a nostalgic journey through the world of gaming, where history and entertainment intertwine.
