Bharat Forge, an Indian multinational corporation, has announced a significant collaboration with US-based defense companies AM General and Mandus Group. This partnership aims to develop and produce next-generation artillery gun platforms for modern armies worldwide.

The collaboration focuses on addressing the evolving needs of modern combat scenarios by providing compact, robust, lightweight, and highly mobile artillery platforms in both 105mm and 155mm calibers. These platforms will be designed for all-weather and all-terrain operations, ensuring optimal performance in diverse environments.

The companies recognize the increasing demand for advanced light artillery systems with enhanced capabilities. These next-gen platforms will incorporate disruptive technologies, offering responsive and accurate fire support with improved tactical mobility and command & control features. Additionally, the platforms will optimize crew size due to reduced logistical requirements, while maintaining high levels of lethality and firepower.
