Bulgaria's Commission for Energy and Water Regulation confirmed the price of natural gas for August in the amount of the increase requested by Bulgargaz. 298 BGN 152 EUR will be paid for 1 megawatt hour, which is a 60% increase compared to July. At this price, Bulgargaz will sell natural gas to final suppliers and to persons with a license for the production and transmission of thermal energy.
The increase in prices on the international gas markets is the main reason for the increase. The data shows that the price of natural gas in Bulgaria remains lower than that of European gas exchanges, regardless of the price increase.
