China to sanction Lithuania over remarks on Taiwan

This undated photo shows the building of China's Foreign Ministry in Beijing. According to a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, BEIJING-China announced Friday that it would sanctions on Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania Agne Vaiciukeviciute.

The spokesperson said that Vaiciukeviciute visited the region of Taiwan in China. The visit hurts China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as it interferes with China's internal affairs.

In response to the egregious and provocative act of Vaiciukeviciute, China decided to suspend all forms of exchange with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Lithuania and suspend exchange and cooperation with Lithuania in the field of international road transport.
